Puppies, Go Math and 5th Grade Science, Oh My!

First, lets start with my handsome boys! They are getting so big so fast! They are 25lbs and growing!

This year is my first year teaching 5th grade math and science. I have a regular class and an inclusion class. I was wondering if anyone uses Go Math, and had any thoughts on it. I like it, but was wondering what people use for a spiral review,  I feel like the ones they provide aren't enough. I did purchase a packet off of TPT, but just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions!
Also, since this is my first year teaching 5th grade science, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of good resurces/websites to use?
Thanks for the help!

Where did August go?

OMG! I can't believe it's already September! It is my favorite month is the year though! I haven't posted in awhile, but that's because we moved into our first house the weekend before school started, can you say crazy?!?!?! Anyways, I just wanted to share some before and after pictures of my classroom this year. I had to move to another hallway, so it was another year of packing and unpacking and reorganizing, ugh!

I did get to sneak in at the end of the year to put up fabric and borders on my boards :)

A HUGE THANKS TO BLAIR TURNER, LOVE MY 5th GRADE COMMON CORE MATH I CAN STATEMENTS. YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME! THEY ARE SUPER CUTE TOO!

I have to give credit to my friend Jen, I stole her idea, and put a cute border around my SmartBoard. :)

I also had to put in a cute picture of my favorites at juggling practice last Friday morning. :)

Oh, and here is our first house! <3

Just Keep Laminating...

We were finally allowed to get into our rooms August 1st, but of course I was busy with my friends wedding that was on the 2nd. So Monday, the 5th, I finally got into my room. Well, I moved rooms, grade levels, and subjects this year, so I had to move EVERYTHING. I spent all day Monday, climbing on counters and chairs to get to cabinets, reorganizing, cleaning, and getting rid of stuff that had been left in that room. Tuesday, I was finally able to get some things accomplished and laminate some things. I decided not to go in Wednesday, but I things home that needed to be cut out. Anthony, (my fiance) really wanted to help, and then wanted to quit ten minutes later!
Thursday, I went back into school, and of course, the printers aren't working yet, and the laminator is out. GREAT. So, I dug my laminator out of a box, (we are moving next weekend, yes, as in the weekend before school starts), and got to work!

Friday, I also decided to work at home on things, since I still have Monday and Tuesday. Our 5th grade open house is on Wednesday, and we start the following Monday, the 19th. The good news is that my new classroom mailboxes came! What an expense, but it was worth it! I actually put it together all by myself, and yes, it was harder then I thought.
However, all I have to do on Monday and Tuesday, is finish hanging up a few things! Woo hoo! When it's all finished, I will share before and after photos! :)

Have a great Saturday! I'm off to my nephews 5th birthday party!!!!

Check out my new elephant themed class birthday posters!

Beckham & Benson

I also wanted to share the very cute additions to our family. Beckham and Benson are rescues that will be joining our family in a few weeks! They are still too young to leave their mom, who is a boxer mix. They have no idea what their dad is, I hope it's not a mastiff!!! I can't wait for them to move into our new house with us. Let the adventure begin!! :)
